Short Introduction

The Embedded systems research center (ESRC) was founded in December, 2001, to take the leadership of embedded systems research that covers from SoC design to embedded software. It started as purely a voluntary gathering of professors that felt urgency and importance of research collaboration for future embedded system industries in Korea, without any institutional support. Thanks to the support of Samsung and Hynix during the first two years, the center was known to the public. At its peak in 2004, we held an international workshop sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. Afterwards, the center activity has been calmed down slowly while the professors have made significant achievements individually. Now the center is reformed as a virtual center that takes the following three roles.

The first role is a "service office" that helps the professors to publicize the research results to the public.

The second role is an "information center" on embedded system research and education by providing carefully filtered information to the public.

The third role is a "marketplace" where research colloboration and/or technology transfer to the industries are promoted.

We will do our best to meet your expectations and really appreciate your interests and encouragement on all ESRC activities.
